1. Reader View
Reader View is a Firefox feature that removes items like: buttons, ads, background images, and videos from the page.
So you can have a clean clutter-free page with just the main content.
When you visit each individual page of any website, the Reader View icon (inactive is gray in color) will appear in the address bar.
To use it, you need to click on the icon and it will change to blue color.
When you visit the homepage of the sites with ad blocker detection message, the Firefox Reader View built-in tool is not available.
As I have just mentioned above, it will only appear for each individual page of the website.
For instance, if you visit Business Insider homepage, or The Independent homepage with this method you CANNOT get rid of the adblock detecting problem.
But if you click any of the articles from this site via a link or from the Google Search Result page (SERP), then you CAN use this method to stop adblock detection
This is how to use Reader View tool to overcome site pages with adblock detection.
Click on the "Reader View" gray color icon (symbol of a piece of paper with text), which is located at the address bar.
When you hover your mouse cursor over the small gray color icon, it shows: Toggle reader view (F9)
Click on it.
Or just press "F9" key on your keyboard.
The Reader View icon changes to blue color, and you can read the article right away.
NOTE: With Reader View mode, some or all of the accompanying images/pictures will not appeared.
It will show an uncluttered white page with just the article only.
Now you can read the article without any ad and distractions.
To revert back or close the Reader View function, you either click on the "X" on the top left side of the page, or click on the blue color icon at the top of the page.
The icon will change back to gray color.
2. Disable JavaScript
If the above second method still cannot bypass adblock detection issue, then try disable Firefox JavaScript.
How To Disable Javascript In Firefox Browser
Open your Firefox browser window or tab.
Copy the following line and paste it into the Firefox address bar: about:config
Hit the Enter key.
Next click the blue button: "Accept The Risk and Continue"
Now type this:javascript.enabled in the search box provided.
You should see "javascript.enabled" underneath.
Double-click anywhere within the javascript.enabled box to change the value from "True" to "False".
Now go to the blocked page again to reload the page by clicking on the "Reload current page" icon in the address bar of that page.
The adblocker detected message over the page should disappeared by now.
3. No Style (disable CSS)
But if you still have problem viewing the page, you can do this method.
The only setback with this trick is the page layout is in disarray, but you can view the full article.
This is what you do:
Click on "View" at the menu bar which is right at top of your computer screen.
A context menu will drop down.
Scroll your cursor down to "Page Style".
Then slide your cursor over to "No Style" and click on it.
It will reload the blocked page.
Now you can view the full article, but as I have just said, the page layout is disordered.
4. Disable JavaScript With YesScript2 extension
Go to this site and click "+ Add to Firefox" blue color button.
Then when a box pops up, click "Add".Now you have install YesScript2 on your Firefox browser.
You can see its small gray color "Y2" icon on top right hand corner of your laptop screen.
This extension has three (3) states of blocking:
No blocking (icon color: gray)
Half blocking: allowing internal and blocking external scripts (icon color: blue)
Full blocking: blocking internal and external scripts too (icon color: red)
When you do not enable the extension, the icon will be in gray color; it means no blocking.
If you visit a site with adblock detection message, click on the gray color icon until it changes to blue color..

6. Developer Tools (Inspect Element)
This is what you do after the adblock detection box pops up, together with a matte overlay covering over the site.
Press "F12" key of your keyboard.
(It is located on the right hand side of the first row of your keyboard)
Immediately the Developer Tools will appear on your computer screen.
Click on the first icon called "Pick an element for the page" and make sure it has changed to blue color.
Next, move your mouse cursor over to the translucent matte overlay area of the page, and a light dull blue color layer appears over it.
Click on it .
The light blue color layer will disappear.
Then press on the "Delete" key of your keyboard slowly, until the matte overlay and the adblock box are gone, and you can see the site page clearly.
NOTE: Most websites, after you have removed the matte overlay and the pop-up box, the sidebar scroll on the right side of the computer screen will be missing.
How to bring back sidebar scroll
For Business Insider:
<body class="tp-modal-open" data-site-id="bi">
Click on it.
Now at the right side panel of the Developer Tool, look for this:
.tp-modal {
overflow: hidden ! important;

Immediately you can see the sidebar scroll on the right side of the computer screen appears.

Click on it.
Now at the right side panel of the Developer Tool, look for this:
.body--no-scroll {
overflow: hidden;
Click on the word "hidden".
Change it to "scroll".
Then press the "Enter" key.
Instantly the sidebar scroll on the right side of the monitor appears.
Now you view the page without obstruction.
7. Press and hold on Esc button
This is another easy method that works too.
But it can be a bit tricky and problematic.
The timing of pressing down the Escape button on your keyboard is crucial.
When you press the button a little too fast or too slow, the adblocker detection message will popup.
If it fails, just try it again, I am sure it can work.
This is what you do:
Just as the article starts to appear, you quickly press down on the "Esc" (Escape) button of your keyboard.
Hold down the button for about ten seconds or so.
Then let go of your finger.
Now you should be able to view the full article as it is without the adblocker detection reminder.
To read the next story or article, just repeat as you have done; quickly press on the "Esc" button before the next article is fully loaded.
Special Issue: Gibberish Text:
The other day I came across a site which detected my ad-blocker.
And it blocked its article with this pop-up:
I did not turn off my ad blocker, and I tried to read the article with Method One (via Reader View) and the Method Four (via No Style) as explained above.
With these two methods, I can only read the first paragraph of the article.
The rest of the content of the article is written in gibberish text, as shown below.
To fix this problem, I tried using Method Three (disable JavaScript).
This time it works like magic. (see image below)
I am sure one of these methods can help to bypass adblocker detection for those who use Firefox browser.
